The Cover Story
Florence “Flo” Battaglia, 71, grew up in Golden Acorn and helped form the earliest version of the Gang Gang with Vera and Gamma. Even then, Florence was the quiet one who somehow knew what everybody was about to do five minutes before they did it.
She built an adult life around operations, management, logistics, and solving problems before they became public. Florence never cared much about titles. She cared whether the room worked, whether the numbers made sense, and whether everyone could please stop making simple things complicated.
Florence does not panic. She does not repeat herself. She does not explain the obvious. If six women are loudly arguing about what happened in 1979, Florence usually knows the truth. Whether she tells them is a completely separate decision.
